Miller Newton (or whatever name he’s going by today…..)

Miller Newton, a failed politician, a failed uban anthropologist, failed teen life-saver is still trying to suceed at his latest endeavor…. trying to be a priest… Father Cassian Newton, to be exact.

I’ve known few men who can manage to be despised by so many people. It’s as though as soon as he comes in contact with people, they immediately dislike him. His neighbors have the most complaints about him these days.  He wants to put a cupola on his so-called church building despite the fact that the neighbors have made it quite clear that they do not want that in their residential neighboorhood in Madiera Beach, Florida. (There is actually much more to the story than that… but I want to get to my main point…) The neighbors call on us to support them AGAINST their neighbor, and we are more than happy to oblige.

Even after once putting up the cupola and having gone before the zoning commission and being forced to take it down a few years ago, Doctor… er.. Father… er… Miller, I mean.. Cassian…. Newton has decided that his neighbors have settled down and now he can put up his cupola… or can he???

There was a hearing the other evening and some of our friends were there, and here is what they have reported back….

Newt was again attempting to skirt the law and install an illegal, non-permited cupola on his church, even tho he’s been told not to and the neighbors have made it clear they want it (him ) gone. It’s not even about the cupola anymore…it’s “him/them v. us”

He kept trying to cite other “residential homes” who had cupolas on their roofs. When my turn came I pointed out that those were, in fact:

First…. R E S I D E N T I A L H O M E S…not a church or business (which Newt is now running..charging rent in his other TAX EXEMPT building)

Second…they were there before the zoning changed so they’re grandfathered in…

Third and most important, it’s in keeping with the spirit and tradition of the neighborhood. A lighthouse, a sailboat weathervane and a couple of skylights. NOT what he had and is proposing at all.

Oh!!!! And get this….he’s given himself another promotion! I about fell outta my chair when he identified himself as “a retired neuropsychiatrist”!!!!!!!

What color is the sky in your world Newt???? How much cognitive dissonance does it take for you to say that with a straight face, under OATH!!!!!

Ruth Ann and Virgil are two of the most dangerous and cold people I have EVER seen. I followed them out of the hearing and just started asking questions…”

At one point when I was walking behind them, asking those questions he turned to me and said…“if you don’t leave me alone I’m gonna c a ll the deputy over”.

I said, ” Oh christ!!!! How pathetic you are…Still thinking you’re in control of ANYthing at all….Go ahead…what are you gonna tell him? That I was speaking to you??? I’m allowed to say whatever I want. Look Virgil..we’re not in straight anymore….you don’t get to call the shots. You don’t get to tell me when I can or cannot speak,….you’re not in control and that pisses you off to no end. You’re a child abuser. I know it, you know it and He (pointing skyward) knows it!”

There was a sheriff’s deputy there but he was really cool to me and seemed to understand why I felt like I HAD to be there.

Below was the first hearing we were notified of…

Miller Newton lost at the City of Maderia Beach Planning Commissioners hearing on Monday 10/12. Lost by a 3-1 vote. Nobody from the neighborhood spoke in favor of him being allowed to put the “copula” back on top of the chapel. Half a dozen residents did show up to voice their disapproval of Miller Newton and his “Foundation” The man is so full of shit that it is running out of his ears non-stop. . Next hearing? is on Monday 10/26 @ 7:00 p.m. for the Special Master’s Hearing.
