Here I will be posting pictures of
much of the original documentation from the time during which my family spent in this crazy program.
My fateful intake day was Saturday, May 29, 1982. (it’s a date that is burned into my memory)
My father died while I was on the fourth phase. May 11, 1983.
I’m not sure when it all ended, but I believe it was sometime in 1985 or 1986.
Recently, I was able to get my hands on a bunch of Straight, Inc.-related documents which were collected by my extremely organized father.
I will post them here for multiple purposes. They are a pictorial history; they are evidence to back up what I have written; they are memory joggers and more. Browse through as you wish.

The “Greater Washington, DC area” program (located in Springfield, VA) was flown via chartered airplane from St. Petersburg, Florida to a local airport (Dulles?) on October 29 or 30th, 1982. From there some parents drove school buses loaded with the kids from the airport, straight to the building. On the plane raps were held, the only nice part about being in the plane was being able to see the sunlight for the first time in a long, long time.
